  2. Spaghetti Structure Physics Challenge

    March 17, 2025

    In 7th and 8th grade science at China Middle School, students have been utilizing their communication and collaboration skills with physics to build the tallest spaghetti structure. This fun competition had students working together to build the tallest and most stable structures using their insight of physical structure and knowledge of how gravity works. #WeAreRSU18


  4. Mr. Saraiva: Principal for the Day

    March 4, 2025

    I’m Jonah and I’m in 5th grade. I saved up Clipper Tickets for the whole year to get the Principal for the Day pass! This morning my assistant and I walked around the school checking in with classrooms. The week before vacation, the PTO and our school collected donations for dogs and cats. Team Woof got the most donations so my assistant had to wear this costume! Thank you for all the donations!

  6. Dungeons + Dragons

    February 11, 2025

    Twice a month since October, several fifth, sixth, and seventh graders at China Middle School have been staying after school to participate in a role playing club. Mr. Watson and Mrs. Babson host separate Dungeons and Dragons campaigns for participants to practice communication skills, math skills, and reading. Students are presented with a scenario and, thinking as their character in the game would think, they work together to become better problem solvers and decision makers. The players roll dice to determine the outcomes of their actions and read up on their spells, if they have them, so they can assist their friends or defeat their adversaries. #WeAreRSU18 #ChinaClippers


  8. Spill the Tea

    January 29, 2025

    A small group of China Middle School fifth and sixth grade students enjoy time to “spill the tea” Friday afternoons with Mrs. Babson. Students who joined the tea elective for quarter 2 have had an opportunity to relax with a cup of tea, juice, or water and enjoy chatting quietly with the rest of the group about the things that happened during the week. Mrs. Babson brings cookies or another light snack to enjoy while they listen and share their thoughts. At the end of the time, students help clean up by washing their cup and saucer as well as wiping down the tables. #WeAreRSU18 #ChinaClippers


  10. Read-In Morning

    January 8, 2025

    A few weeks ago, fifth graders at China Middle School had a great day participating in a read-in morning and making cards to show their gratitude for people in their lives after focusing on spreading gratitude and random acts of kindness. #WeAreRSU18 #ChinaClippers
