Dodecahedron Book Projects
For Quarter 3, sixth-grade ELA students in Mrs. Lefferts’ and Mrs. Hamel’s classes at China Middle School created dodecahedrons to showcase their understanding of independently chosen novels. Each side of the 12-sided project featured different story elements, such as setting, plot, theme, and character development. The true magic occurred when students assembled their final pieces—an effort that required patience, creativity, and collaboration. Many students jumped in to help their peers, demonstrating excellent teamwork and classroom community. Sixth-grade ELA students have worked hard all year to deepen their literary analysis skills and move beyond surface-level thinking. Well done, sixth graders! #WeAreRSU18 #ChinaClippers
