September 11th Car Wash Honoring Veterans and First Responders
China Middle School hosted a free car wash for first responders and Veterans in honor of the 23rd anniversary of 9/11. The support from the community, students, and parents was tremendous! Students washed 39 vehicles in less than 6 hours including several police cruisers, fire trucks, a corvette, lots of pick-up trucks, cars, a state trooper vehicle, and a jeep for a K-9 unit! The weather was perfect, and the donations from parents of supplies and baked goods for their guests was outstanding. The kids were incredibly respectful and thanked each of their guests for their service, gave them a personalized homemade thank you card, and made sure they received a refreshment while they waited. The students had a blast and the first responders and Vets could not have been more grateful. #WeAreRSU18 #ChinaClippers
