4/13/2020 Update and Grade Level Meetings
Good Evening CMS Parents/Guardians,
We hope that this finds you and your family safe and well during this time of school closure and the COVID-19 pandemic. We are hoping that we will all be back together at school soon! In the meantime, the CMS staff have been trying to create ways to stay connected with students. Please see the attached PDF’s of the optional grade level schedules for teacher Zoom/Hangout meetings that students can attend. Tina Strout will be emailing the grade level schedules every Monday to help you and your child organize their zoom meetings for the week.
On May 4th, we will be transitioning into the next phase of the district’s remote learning. This schedule will be especially important as your child’s teachers will be providing virtual class meetings to focus on teaching new material. As Mr. Gartley outlined in his letter (a copy of the letter he sent out on 4/10/2020 is attached), students will receive a Pass/Fail grade for Quarter 4. Pass/Fail grades will be determined by the following:
1) Attendance and participation in class discussion or via the submission of completed work in paper form.
2) Meeting reasonable deadlines by the teacher.
All special education students/families will continue to be contacted by special education staff. Learning materials will be sent home for students if needed.
You will also find the attached “CMS Virtual Spirit Week” that the CMS Student Council created to add some fun and creativity for each day this week. Please send your photos to Ms. Chamberlain!
