CMS Spelling Bee winners!
China Middle School recently hosted their 3rd Annual School Spelling Bee. Sixteen students in grades 5-8 competed in a nail-biter! For the second year in a row, our students were so competitive that the judges ran out of regulation words, and it took over 40 rounds to crown a winner. Sixth-grader Max Sanborn emerged the winner, and Noah Rushing was the runner-up. Both Max and Noah qualified to compete in the Kennebec County Spelling Bee, which will be held at China Middle School on Wednesday, February 7th. Noah unselfishly asked that the third-place winner, Breckon Davidson, be given the chance to compete in his place. The school is very excited to cheer Max and Breckon on next Wednesday!
